Field & Studio offers a library of originals and giclee prints for the Collector of Fine Art, an archive for browsing our work, and a classroom for Artists looking to explore and hone their technical skills in a nurturing environment.
In the library you will find a collection of the recent work of two accomplished Artists both investigating natural history subject matter yet each within her own style and genre. Beverly Baker continues to explore the various aspects of painting and mixed media print making while Christy Knight produces studious botanical art and scientific illustration. Most of the illustrations, drawings, paintings and photography you see in the library are available in giclee print form, offering something for every Collector's budget. Unlike numbered limited edition prints, each work is carefully hand printed by the Artist as a one-of-a-kind Artist proof and then cured and signed. Many of our Patrons have commissioned special pieces both in original and print form for wedding anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and house warmings. Custom framing is also available upon request.
In the Archives you may browse the various mediums and the work created for specific projects such as murals, logo design, botanical illustration, painting, drawing and photography. The Classroom provides a unique opportunity for Artists of all age and ability levels to work privately or in a small group setting with Christy Knight, Art Coach and Science Illustrator. Since she believes no two Artists are alike, Christy tailors curriculum in subjects such as drawing, painting, illustration, art history, color theory and botanical studies to the specific needs of the individual. Beverly Baker also offers her expertise in plein-air and painting techniques. Whether you have been studying and practicing art for years and want professional guidance, are interested in trying a new medium and subject or would like a completely new experience in learning, there is a curriculum designed just for you at Field & Studio.
